What are u eating?
The food industry subjects natural sugar freshly extracted from sugarcane to a chemical process that is relatively cheap for them and with which they obtain double or triple the amount of refined sugar. This is refined sugar
The consumption of refined sugar is directly involved in many disorders and diseases. It is associated with diabetes, obesity, heart, liver and kidney problems. It is also associated with psychological disorders, such as depression, panic attacks, anxiety, sugar addiction, etc.
Sugar is also found in fruit and honey, these are a healthier option. The OMS suggests a consumption of 10 tablespoons of sugar a day and that if this decreases to 5 tablespoons, our metabolism will improve positively.
-A good option to replace sugar is stevia or allulose.
On the other hand, carbohydrates such as bread, pasta, cookies, buns, cakes, pies, pastries, etc. are also mostly made of refined wheat flour. This flour, together with the refined sugars that are added, make these foods harmful to health.
Refined flours are subjected to industrial processing in which they lose their properties and nutrients, so they have a much lower contribution in fiber, protein and other micronutrients such as vitamins and minerals.
-A good option is whole wheat flour, since it preserves the whole grain and all its nutrients.
The consumption of sugar and flour is not bad, but it is important to consume those that are not refined products and to be able to replace their consumption with healthier options.
Even so, you can still eat that cookie, but not the whole package and not every day.
