Anticancer activity of new gold(III) complexes in colon cancer 

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common cancer diagnosed worldwide. The limitations of cisplatin- based chemotherapy have prompted intense interest among scientists to search for alternative metal-based anticancer medicines. 


Cisplatin, which is one of the most widely used metal anticancer drugs, has been re- cognized as one of the most effective agents against colon cancer. However, cisplatin induces drug resistance, and its side effects still are major limitations to its clinical use. Among the non-platinum an- titumor agents, gold(IlI) complexes have been reported to exhibit cyto- toxicity against abroad spectrum of tumor cells, and their potencies are comparable with that of cisplatin.


In recent years, a number of gold(III) complexes, such as porphyrins, have been reported to display potent anticancer activity. Among them, gold(III) tetraphenyl-porphyrin chloride [Au(TPP)]Cl is stable under physiological conditions, highly cytotoxic to various cancer cell lines, including cisplatin-re- sistant cancer cells and multidrug-resistant cells, and exhibits potent in vivo anticancer properties in multiple animal tumor models.

Several studies, have given gold(III) complexes the possibility of becoming a promising chemotherapeutic agent against CRC.

The truth is that I would like to visit many countries, but if I could dream of visiting any of them, I would like to visit France. I would like to visit each and every bakery in France, I love to eat pastries and I love croissants. I would like to eat baguette and crepes.   In this post I want to talk about my brother, his name is Max and he is 29 years old. When we were kids, we used to play in the tree house and swing on a car tire.
